COG grid

Can someone provide me with details of the A-Z / 1-30 grid square system overlaid over the COG area of interest?

I have a graphic image of the Canberra region with the grid drawn on it, but I would like to translate this to a map for the forthcoming ‘blitz’. For instance, is the grid based on UTM or lat / long, how large are the grid squares and where is the datum?

I have had a look on the website but cannot find any relevant info.
