Hello,
Do King Parrots have a Spring dispersal/migration?  My block on the escarpment east of Queanbeyan (dry stringybark/gum woodland) does not support this species.  However I saw 4 today (25th Aug) and on checking my records I found the following:

23/8/01  1 female
August 2003 3 birds

That is 3 sightings in August.  Any thoughts.

Also today 2 YTBC inspecting holes in a very large gum.  3rd bird looking on.  In 1999 similar inspections occurred but no nesting.
