At the eastern shore of Lake Ginninderra on Saturday there was a family
of magpies which included two very recently fledged young birds.

-Everywhere- white plumed honeyeaters doing song flights
-Hall TSR- 2 striated pardalotes on nest in tree knot hollow. -Belc tip
road- no songlarks -Campbell Park- 6 Varied sittellas. Pair of Striated
pardalotes seen mating- 6 times. -Lake Ginninderra SW- N of Police- 4
Darters, 1 little grassbird heard calling, 2 tree martins,
                Western foreshores- 4 Great cormorants, 2 pied
cormorants, 5 little pied, no little black seen. I think we often take
birds for granted, like Hardheads, shovelers, blue billed, musk, and of
course great and pied cormorants.
