A male Superb Parrot calling loudly flying north near the Malaysian High Commission towards the Yacht Club via Stirling Ridge at 16:40 Sunday. Maybe it's the same one that I saw calling in the Botanic Gardens some weeks ago. Would be interesting to know of more of its movements.

Field Naturalists explored Stirling ridge this afternoon for the first time. We parked at the corner of Empire Circuit & Hunter St., Yarralumla.
There's plenty of paths & tracks & a range of quality native vegetation (and an instructive suite of woody weeds). A dog walker showed us clusters of boulders that were near an Aboriginal ceremonial area apparently.

At least 5 Striated pardalotes calling in different places, presumably each in its territory? Speckled Warblers, Golden Whistlers, pair Grey Currawongs, pair Gang  Gangs and a Boobook Owl.
