I  went walking today from the Blue Range hut NE along the ridge. ACT forests have been burning pine windrows and the scene is one of total devastation over toward Sherwood  However there was a good range of raptors about and lots of Flame and Scarlet Robins (flocks!).
Also saw a flock of about 50 YFHE pursued by a sparrowhawk near the hut.
