Yesterday morning at the easten picnic ground on Diddams Close two brown quail were braving the cold and blustery conditions to venture out on to the mown area. Other sitings of note were:
  • a yellow-billed spoonbill, the first I have seen in this area, and
  • good numbers of late season Dusky Woodswallows some of which were feeding on the ground in the cut grass area.
