Hello folks,

My wife, Rai, and I would like to join the COG.

I am a keen amateur photographer with a penchant for Australian (and other) birds, so I am joining with a view to being able to get in to positions  - walks etc. - where I can photograph said subjects.

I am reviving my old web site — http://www.macattack.com.au — and changing its focus to photography. I have put up some of my existing bird shots already under General Photography --> Birds (NEW!) if you are interested.

I also intend to eventually sell some shots (to recoup the extraordinary costs of the new equipment – Nikon D2X and @400mm lens - I am about to upgrade to), but I am very happy to supply interested members of the group with smaller versions (for free, of course).

If there are any good resources / news tips / web sites etc. that you think might be of interest to us, please do not hesitate to drop an e-mail (you will be challenged by the “friends” anti-spam system; just reply once to the challenge, and it will then add you to my friends and all of your mail will get through immediately; yahoo / hotmail etc. users will have the first one bounce, and I will have to add you manually once I see the first failed attempt in my log files).

I look forward to meeting like minded persons at the next available opportunity.

Cheers,

James
