* Good news yesterday with a lyrebird calling in very heavily burnt wet
forest below Booroomba Rocks. Not displaying, just 'chooking' to itself.
In the same area (at about 1200m asl) small groups of White-naped HEs, plus
a few Yellow-faced, moving late morning, albeit with no obvious sense of
urgency.
* Further south and last week (ie 30 April - 4 May) flocks of up to 100 Red
Wattlebirds on the move. Towards the coast, south of Eden, and north at
Mallacoota.
* This arvo at Jerra, a Brown/Black Falcon, halfway to Qbn and being blown
further away very rapidly. No chance of id (not by me anyway!).
cheers
Ian
