I agree - I was there this morning. They were Cattle Egrets - and large numbers of Pink-eared Ducks which utterly fascinated my students. Sue -----Original Message----- From: Ian Fraser Sent: Thursday, 28 April 2005 1:47 PM To: COG Subject: Which Egret Actually Roger, based on size and 'dumpiness' I'd go for "none of the above". I reckon it's an out-of-breeding-plumage Cattle Egret, which do turn up sometimes for a while at about this time of year. cheers Ian --- Ian Fraser, Environment Tours; Vertego Environmental Wordsmithing GPO Box 3268, Canberra, ACT 2601 ph: 02 6249 1560 fax: 02 6247 3227 --- -- No virus found in this outgoing message.
