This seems highly unusual.

Got any more details Ian?

Number of birds? Male or Female?

It's very unusual that superbs would be here at this time of year, and
it is very rare for them to venture that far into town. On the other
hand, it's also unlikely to have a group of escapee superbs hanging
around together.
