Having just arrived at work I looked out my window to see some 60-70 Red Wattlebirds flying over my building in an easterly direction in a loose flock. They seemed to come from the west, Stirling Park or the southern shore of Lake Burley Griffin (LBG). My work is located by Commonwealth Avenue in Parkes (ACT). This is the largest single group of RW I have seen. Each autumn morning I also notice small groups of Cockatoos and Corellas flying east from their night roosts. They can be seen flying from the direction of LBG.
