Hi all,

With reference to my comments about obtaining data on the honeyeater migration- see message dated 29 March, think I need to clarify before we go any further.  It is of little value sending me data on ad hoc sightings of birds as they pass through wherever one happens to be.  The idea is to have a set point (garden or work) where one can keep an eye on what is going on, document when you are keeping an eye out and then record what passes through.  With this in mind I have designed a data sheet (see attached) which I suggest is filled in and a copy returned back to me say once a week.

For us to obtain any useful information we would really need 40-50 people contributing their sightings on a regular basis.  So far I have had very little response to my suggestion so I find it difficult to know whether to go ahead with the idea or not.  In the meantime I will put the datasheet out and let us see what sort of response there is.  Please get back to me if there are any queries.
