Walked to Molonglo Gorge South. In Callitris pines, thanks to Marnixs
directions, I saw a MFF including a red capped robin female. She was only 4m
away and got good views of the red tinted head and the body shape, then it flew
off and I couldn't relocate. Also saw female speckled warbler, eastern yellow
robin, rufous whistler immature, adult male and subadult male, & female. Saw at
least 15 double bar finches, one flock of 9 and also saw 2 adults feeding 4
recently fledged young (still had brown beaks and grey feathers and very
inquisitive). 5 goldfinches, 2 adults 3 young, about 6 redbrows. A Hobby
Silhouette flew bye. Also saw two very large male wallaroos and a female and
joey (sorry Marno and Moz for doubting). It rained on me for 2 hours which
wasn't much fun.
Dropped by Shepherds lookout, in the rain, saw 2 diamond firetails this time.

Also in Hawker last eve were 2 spinebills and 2 yellow tailed blacks.
