I counted a group of at least 50 Red-rumped Parrots on the powerlines at the end of Jarramlee Rd on Tuesday afternoon.

Cheers

Hi

At 11:00am today, I watched a flock of some 40 - 50 Yellow-tailed  Black-Cockatoos flying south west to north east across Lake Ginninderra.

Also counted 18 Red-rumped Parrots perched on power lines, and another  group of 22 on lines about 250 metres further around the shore. Interestingly,  when I investigated adjacent gum trees, I estimated that there would have been  about another 20 perched among the foliage, including three or four which I  recognised as immatures. On the other side of the lake I came upon another bunch  of about 20 birds perched atop a couple of dead trees.

Bye

John Layton.
