14, fabulous, I thought 6 was probably an underestimate. A couple of the birds I saw yesterday appeared to be immature, with greenish rather than red vents, and rather diffuse red colouring on the face. I would love to know what makes this site so attractive to very small nectar feeding parrots. Plenty of apparently similar habitat along the western edges of Ainslie and Majura, but this spotseems to be a magnet for them. Maybe the proximity of water could be a factor, if memory serves there is a dam not far to the north, about where the houses finish.
