I was most surprised, on having a preliminary look at a job site late this
morning immediately alongside the Belc Town Cenre, when the first bird I saw
was a DFtail. Lots more too, including many imm Dusky Woodswallows, despite
being middle of the day. This is a totally 'artificial' site, very weedy
understorey and plantations - Blue Gums, Melaleucas etc. It's across Beissel
St from the lake, opposite the water police wharf. Currently fenced, it's
between Beissel St and Luxton St. If anyone's done any birding there and has
some records, I'd be glad to hear from you (off line).
cheers!
Ian
