Nice one Richard!!  I didn't check the cisticolas, but this is the 4th record of a Diamond Dove in the GBS.  Others have been Ainslie (year 2); Kambah (year 15) and Gilmore (year 20).  Do you think it is an escapee or one of the birds (which I regard as wild) from Bibaringa moving a tad further East?

Subject: [canberrabirds] Diamond Dove for Curtin GBS

Hi

I thought the 9 Golden-headed Cisticolas I saw yesterday would be the highlight for the month at Curtin. But no, this morning with some cisticolas still buzzing around, I saw a Diamond Dove at 8.30am. Still there when I left 20 mins later.
The locality is at North Curtin Horse Paddocks adjacent Yarralumla Ck and more or less opposite Verran Pl and See Place. Precisely, beside gates between adjoining paddocks, under powerlines, at creek edge and in small willows.

cheers
Richard
