He's too modest to announce this himself so I'll do it for him. Our very own Ian Fraser is leading a bird watching walk through the Lanyon prescincts on Sunday 13 March 9 am -11:30 am, with morning tea and a tour of the Sidney Nolan bird drawings thrown in. [We'll have a repeat performance of the commentary on the drawings for COG, later, thanks Ian!] Cost $10; bookings by 9 March to 6235 5688.

And in case you missed it in the latest Gang-gang, Geoffrey Dabb is leading a bird walk for the Friends of Mt Majura on Saturday 5 March, starting at 8am at the Mackenzie St Hackett entrance to the nature park. All welcome.

Barbara Allan, COG secretary
