I was delighted by a flock of 28 rainbow bee eaters wheeling and reeling around Aranda on Saturday - great addition to our garden bird survey! They were flying very high but were calling loudly and displaying their usual flight pattern. They appeared to fly lower as they got closer toward Aranda Bushland but I didn't see them land.
