After just returning from 8 days in Mollymook I spent yesterday afternoon wandering around Hackett and the adjacent Majura Reserve in the rain. There are a lot of eucalypts in flower along Antill St, but I didint see or hear any lorikeets there. I then wandered to the reservoir behind Rivett St and finally heard the calls of little lorikeets. A flock of 9 birds flew low overhead heading in a northerly direction towards Goorooyarroo, flying approximately parallel to Mt Majura, calling constantly. At the rate they were flying it didnt look like they were returning. I didnt find any other lorikeets after that.

Cheers
Marnix
