Went to Coppins crossing Saturday, headed downstream, saw 1 male speckled
warbler and 1 pair. 1 hobby eating prey, rainbow beeeaters, sittellas, female
mistletoebird, common bronzewing, a female rufous songlark came to investigate
me, heard probably a leaden flycatcher. White faced heron. Juvenile redbrows,
goldfinches. Also saw double bars, rufous whistlers, lots of water dragons
(>15). Many butterflies.
Dependent young being fed for scarlet robins, dusky woodswallows, silvereyes.
Also some white browed scrubwrens, brown thornbills and fairy wrens mobbed a
juvenile fantailed cuckoo.
