Back in the distant past when Ian Fraser was the bwana of the Hotline he invited folk to send in their birding highlights of the past year.  Now that the hotline is a pre-digital whisper in the back of our minds I wonder, if our co-ordinator will forgive a little lese-majeste  if it is worth revitalising the idea through this Chatline.  Perhaps people would like to consider 4 categories.  These would be their most memorable birding experience for 2004 in:

1) The ACT;
2) COG area of interest;
3) Australia;
4) The world.

I have no deep purpose in mind for this, other than to think it might give folk an excuse to reflect back on a pleasant year of looking at birds and to share (perhaps again) some good stuff with others.
