Looking at the Explore Hotspots section of eBird there are several recent lists for a Hotspot called "Mareeba Wetlands Gate
It is one of 6 referencing the Mareeba Wetlands in the name.

There is another site called Forever Wild Shared Earth Reserve (restricted access) nearby which looks as though it is a commercial tourism spot as nearly all the lists are submitted by a tour company.  That has no listings since about April.

Hi Kirri,

It wasn’t open last December when I was in the area. Not sure if any wine knows about any plans to reopen the site? Was quite a good birding site.

Warm regards,
Charles Hunter
