If there are any real keen collectors I have a complete set of Bird Observer magazines going back to 1968. That and a few spare Wingspans and Australian Birdlife magazines, and an unbroken set of the Victorian Naturalist (journal of the Field Naturalists Club of Victoria) from 1968 to 2016.

I would love for the FNCV and Birdlife Australia to take them off my hands, or anyone else who has an interest. They belonged to my Dad who is now in dementia care.

He also had an enormous collection of Australian Plants magazines which are in Swan Hill still, all in beautiful green folders with gold lettering. My Dad was a rare breed in the Field Naturalists in being both an excellent birdo and an extraordinary amateur botanist. I doubt there was anyone who could rival his knowledge of the identification and distribution of the plants of northwestern Victoria.

Bird Observer (the old BOCA magazine) from Oct 2003 to the end - also some from 1997-1999

Wingspan (RAOU/Birds Australia magazine) from 1992 to the end.

Pretty good condition - maybe one or two gaps I guess.

Free to a good home!

I live in Werribee so any "locals" could collect on the way to the WTP (when it re-opens!) - for others I suspect the postage would be quite expensive.....
