Wed 26 Nov Lewin's Rail, Spotless Crake Fresh Water Creek, Kallangur
Lewin's Rail recorded at two sites, a single bird calling at each site,
in swampy reaches of Fresh Water Creek between Duffield Road and Kuhr
Court, Kallangur (upstream of Wagner Park). Ample habitat to support
many pairs. Habitat dominated by 100% cover of dense weedy grass (to
1.5 m height), with included ferns, forbs and emergent Typha, bordered
by paperbark trees. Spotless Crake was calling at two other sites.

Sooty Owls, Marbled Frogmouths Mt Nebo - Mt Glorious
Sooty Owls in both Mt Nebo and Mt Glorious - I'm fairly sure the bird
calling incessantly at Mt Glorious was a young bird (as 2 other birds
were responding). 2 Pairs of Marbled Frogmouths (2 seen well), Southern
Boobook and Australian Owlet-Nightjar (H). Great views of a Greater
   Glider.
