Regards, Laurie

"Celebrate this year=92s National Bird Week by taking part in the first eve=
r Aussie Backyard Bird Count. It=92s BirdLife Australia=92s biggest citizen=
science project. From 20-26 October, thousands of people from across the c=
ountry will be heading out into their backyards, local parks or favourite o=
pen spaces to take part. All you need join in is 20 minutes, your favourit=
e bird watching spot, and some keen eyesight (or binoculars!) Record the bi=
rds you know and look up those you don=92t on our specially designed Aussie=
Bird Count app, or on the website. You=92ll instantly see live information=
on how many people are taking part near you and the number of birds and sp=
ecies counted both within your local area and across Australia.

Not only will you get to know your feathered neighbours, but you=92ll be co=
ntributing to a vital pool of information from across the nation that will =
help us see how Australian birds are faring. =

So get your friends and family together, head into the great outdoors and s=
