I have just returned from an unsuccessful search for the Citrine Wagtail at Mudgee. As I said in my previous RFI to Birding-aus I have seen the species in two countries overseas so am not totally disappointed. Still, it would have been a nice addition to my Australian list. I know Frank O'Connor is arriving today (Tuesday) to look for the bird and am sure he will advise if it is still there. Unfortunately as we were leaving the weather was starting to deteriorate with strong winds predicted ahead of a stormy day or two. At least my wife and I contributed nearly $300 to the Mudgee economy!!! Once again Birding-aus has shown just what a useful resource it is and I thank all those wonderful people who replied to my original RFI.
