Eastern Curlew
Ralphs Bay Conservation Area, Lauderdale
A single bird seen roosting at the tip of the spit, near the bridge over the canal, just after high tide. It moved to the shore opposite Windy's bakery to a position about 20 metres from the road. I was unable to locate it later after the tide receded and all the other birds were feeding.
