Further to John Weigel's 14/3 #216692 sighting I did a walk along Duck Creek Road and gullies yesterday and sighted 7 glossy's along the ridge line. One group had M & F and juvenile. Second group had two pairs. Also feeding nearby Yellow tail black cockatoos. Present also were Rose Robin (male), and flock of ten Little Lorikeets. No sign of Turquoise parrots despite many km covered.

Single bird actively feeding at the northern end of the lagoon today at 12pm, was still there when I left at 1pm. Was on the north-western shoreline, around the same place as last year's wagtail.

Still a few birds around today but not, as far as I could tell, in the numbers reported recently. I counted eighteen birds feeding on the mudflats beyond the second hide. A few are starting to colour up a bit.

Observed between 4.30 and 5.00 pm in amongst lily pads in front of the peninsula area of the third lagoon ( as in previous sightings).

This morning there was a large flock of approximately 110 and another small flock of 26 Broad-billed Sandpipers (i.e. 136 in total, +/- error). There was also a dark morph Pacific Reef-Egret. See also Mike Bysouth's eBird list:

A quiet March trip with 1 dark Kemadec, 2 Great-winged Petrels (gouldi), c20 Tahiti Petrels, 1 Black Noddy, 2-3 Pomerine Jaegers (inc. a fresh adult - see Picture), Wedge-tailed, Flesh-footed & Hutton's Shearwaters, c8 Wilson's Storm Petrels.
