With the government proposing (although have not heard much of it recently)
a rail link to Avalon I assume that development is likely in the area
anyway. I agree it is a concern - which is better - losing part of WTP or
Westernport???

Always amazes me the figures they use to justify these things - it was if I
recall based on a huge growth on imported containers. Since there is
precious little that we do not import already (presumably in containers)
then I am intrigued as to where the growth will come from - far more than
is accounted for by population growth. OK - maybe it comes from other ports
but they probably have similar plans....
