Pacific Golden Plover (Pluvialis fulva) (42) Spread out on mudflats.
Bar-tailed Godwit (Limosa lapponica) (8) Have been looking for Bar Tails around 
Goolwa channel first I have seen this summer.
Curlew Sandpiper (Calidris ferruginea) (40+) Good to see Curlew Sandpipers here 
, did not see many last summer,a number of juveniles seen.

Australian Painted Snipe (Rostratula australis) (1) Male feeding in the open 
from the islands in the main pond.  Water levels dropping rapidly.

Location: Pareora, 319 Balaklava Rd, Port Wakefield
Letter-winged Kite (Elanus scriptus) (5) As previously reported elsewhere, a 
group of at least 5 favouring the large trees along the riverbed.  The owners 
of the property couldn't be more friendly and helpful: please contact them at 
the farmhouse.  The best Christmas present this year!
Australian Pratincole (Stiltia isabella) (3) In a pea straw paddock further 
west.

Spotted Harrier (Circus assimilis) (1) Seen by Peter Day and Adrienne Lovelock 
from near effluent ponds.  Circled, then flew off to north-east.   First
