Sun 1 Dec Straw-necked Ibis, Black-winged Stilt, Black-fronted Dotterel Amata Waste Water Treatment Plant
Quick drive around compound this morning. Storm hit community just after nightfall last night, strong winds, thunder, lightning and more heavy rain. Straw-necked Ibis (1) took flight as soon as car was heard close to compound. Black-winged Stilt (8) tight group on overflow pond (new species for this site). Black-fronted Dotterel (2) On road alongside overflow pond within the compound (new species for site).

Quick drive around and count of numbers. Straw-necked Ibis (1) Lone bird on overflow pond, very flighty

Wed 27 Nov Australian Pelican, White-necked Heron, Australian Spotted Crake Amata Waste Water Treatment Plant
After sighting White-necked Heron late Tuesday before a big storm hit from the south-east, I returned tonight to see if they were still present and stumbled upon some other birds possibly blown in by last night's storm Australian Pelican (1) Lone bird sitting on black plastic liner between two large evap. ponds White-necked Heron (3) Third bird present this evening - a little smaller in size compared to the other 2 birds. Australian Spotted Crake (1) SIngle bird sitting at bottom or trickle from overflow pipe in the overflow pond. No vegetation or cover within compound, this bird was unusually bold and very exposed
