visible from Archery Road.
Freckled Duck (Stictonetta naevosa) (1) On the 3rd pond along Archery Road.
Pink-eared Duck (Malacorhynchus membranaceus) (100+) On the 2nd and 3rd ponds.

Southern Emu-wren (Stipiturus malachurus) (2) Boardwalk closed due to
vandalism, but a pair of Emu-wrens seen on the edge of the wetland from Arthur
Road.

Eastern Reef Egret (Egretta sacra) (1) Hunting on the rocks around the headland
at the southern end of Basham Beach as we watched numerous Southern Right
Whales.

Crested Shrike-tit (Falcunculus frontatus) (1) East of Armstrong Road
Brown Quail (Coturnix ypsilophora) (1) Close to the footbridge by the horse
stables.
Fan-tailed Cuckoo (Cacomantis flabelliformis) (1) One bird calling and seen
well near the sewage works. At least two others heard calling on the walk.

Fan-tailed Cuckoo (Cacomantis flabelliformis) (1) Adult male calling from low
vegetation on rough ground adjacent to Island View Drive opposite Goose Island.

Location: Laratinga Wetlands, Mount Barker, South Australia
Little Eagle (Hieraaetus morphnoides) (1) Seen circling, following the creek
line adjacent to the Laratinga Wetlands while being harassed by five Australian
Magpies. Managed to take an aerial photo near pond 11 to verify the species.
Mild, sunny afternoon with gentle breeze. No clouds.
