Published sightings for the week ending 4 Aug 2013.

Thu 1 Aug Baillon's Crake Lake Kununurra
Early morning sighting of single bird seen along western shoreline from caravan park grounds. Pair White-browed Crakes also present.

Tue 30 Jul Wood Sandpiper Marlgu Billabong, Wyndham
One of the first arrivals into Australia at this time of the year.

Sun 28 Jul Freckled Duck Broome Waste Water treatment (NEW)
1345 Freckled Duck. Considering the largest count for the Broome area was 23 last week this is a rather large increase for a very rare bird in the Broome area.

Sat 27 Jul Yellow-rumped Mannikin Victoria Hwy, Emu Creek Crossing, Kununurra.
Single Yellow-rumped Mannikin and 2 Star Finches in with large group of Chestnut-breasted Mannikins. 7 km east of town.

Wed 24 Jul Spotted Pardalote Serpentine National Park
Managed a rewarding bushwalk between rainfall. Also observed Golden Whistler, Western Spinebill, Red-eared Firetail, etc.
