Today I found 3 Black-tailed Native-hens near the Maroochy River on the
Sunshine Coast, continuing a trend of inland species in recent months moving
to coastal areas in eastern Australia. This species is normally extremely
rare in south-east Queensland but it has popped up in several places
recently.
