I'm currently still in the UK but have been asked if I can publicize this
experiment for anyone on the mailing-list to get involved. This is the link

Hello, I’m Mark Cottman-Fields, I'm doing a Masters of Information
Technology (by research) at Queensland University of Technology.

I'm looking at helping bird watchers to identify bird calls in audio
recorded in the environment.****

The purpose is to provide more information for ecologists, so informed
decisions can be made about the state of the environment. ****

I’m currently running an experiment that takes people on a virtual bird
tour to places in Australia. It’s exploring a way to check that bird calls
identified in recorded audio are correct.****
