Sat 30 Mar Black-necked Stork Oxley Creek Common
Mostly overcast otherwise fine. Black-necked Stork (1) juv bird seen at Jabiru Swamp

Sat 30 Mar Cotton Pygmy Goose Black Duck Hole, Murrumba Downs
Female from viewing platform at northern end of the northern pond. Access off Blackall Road

Fri 29 Mar Freckled Duck, Hoary-headed Grebe Karasch's Lagoon, near Gatton
Freckled Duck (1) Bird perched on submerged fence post a short distance off Old Toowoomba Road. Hoary-headed Grebe (5)

Wed 27 Mar Freckled Ducks Lowe's Road Lagoon, Placid Hills (Gatton)
The pair of Freckled Ducks was still there today, despite the adjacent grass being slashed while I was there. Also one female Blue-billed Duck, which has now been at the site for over a year now.

Pair on the island. Huge tern flock present including 500 White-winged and 1200 Common Terns.

Little Lorikeet Gatton Forest Reserve
Small flocks of up to 6 birds flying o'head every 15 mins or so during an early morning 2.5 hour visit. Feeding flock of 20+ also seen at Pine Mountain Forest Reserve previous day.

Two birds quitely resting on lagoon edge in company with Plumed Whistling Duck

Sat 23 Mar Freckled Duck Coolmunda Dam
11 Freckled Ducks seen well from the (now locked up) informal camping area on the north side of the lake. Heavily cropped distant photo attached with 4 of them.
