Sun 3 Mar Great Crested Grebe Dowse Lagoon, Sandgate
A pair of Great Crested Grebes this morning on Dowse Lagoon. This seems to be the first Eremaea record for this site, and an unusual sight in such a suburban location. The birds could be seen to the right of the bird hide.

Thu 28 Feb Australian Kite FRAZER 1' Cell
Australian Kite (1) Settled in tree and then circled around at good height for several minutes and disappeared over hill.

Tue 26 Feb Red Tailed Black Cockatoos Clagiraba, Nerang Canunugra Rd, SEQld
Sea Eagle was scattering all the birdlife and among the mix were two large, languid, calling Red Tail Cockies which is a nice one to get in this area and only a few miles west of Nerang.

Observations made on large, rocky headland south of main beach. Fine and hot. Wandering Tattler (2) Two birds in non-breeding plumage present on rocky headland.

Small flock flew across Bruce Hwy between Bowen & Proserpine, early afternoon.

2 baby cuckoos in the trees in the back yard been there for 4 days
