I have seen the (admittedly captive) Emus at the Kalkari Centre inKu-Ring-Gai NP (N Sydney) wallowing in the small pond at the far point onthe track from the visitor centre on a very hot day a number of years ago(could have been 1996). My parents were visiting at the time - we reckonedit was a cooling off strategy.
