Wood Sandpiper (Tringa glareola) (1) A single bird seen by Bob and MAureen 
Snell and Sue Burnell in small pond adjacent to the northern end of the Milang 
Caravan Park.

Nankeen Night Heron (Nycticorax caledonicus) (1) Four birds seen in flight over 
Island View Drive Clayton Bay by Bob Snell and Sue Burnell

Location: Bicycle track south side Adelaide Airport

Common Myna (Acridotheres tristis) (1) Close and prolonged views of a single 
bird perched adjacent to bike path on south side of Adelaide Airport(Netley). 
In the vicinity of where Deeds Road reaches the bike path <Ray Pearson>Reported

Date: Tuesday, November 27, 2012

Location: Laratinga Wetlands, Mount Barker

Freckled Duck (Stictonetta naevosa) (6) Six Freckled duck on ponds 9 and 10.

Australian Spotted Crake (Porzana fluminea) (12) At least 12 Australian Spotted 
Crake. Eight in the 'Swale', including at least one chick. Another four along 
divde between ponds 8 and 9.

Peregrine Falcon (Falco peregrinus) (1) One Peregrine circling over effluent 
lagoons.

Observed by Bob Snell and Peter Gower. Kevin Williams has been seeing at least 
three Freckled Duch on ponds 9 and 10 over the past few days, and reports that 
Peregrine is a frequent visitor.

Location: Approx. 2km SE of Hartley, SA - private Heritage Agreement

Spotted Nightjar (Eurostopodus argus) (1) Nearly stepped on it before it flew 
off - needed a change of shorts!!! :)   Haven't seen one of these critters for 
ages.

Diamond Firetail (Stagonopleura guttata) (2) Flew to perch nearby before moving 
off.  Seen them in the area several times before in recent years.

Location: Sir Richard Pen Goolwa Channel

Terek Sandpiper (Xenus cinereus) (1) Single bird feeding on sand/mud flats, 
photo taken.

Eastern Curlew (Numenius madagascariensis) (1) Single bird seen, very long bill 
indicating female, photo taken.

Pacific Golden Plover (Pluvialis fulva) (30+) At least 30 birds spread out 
across mudflats,

Curlew Sandpiper (Calidris ferruginea) (2) Many waders present , Red neck 
Stints, Sharpies but just the pair of CS.

Rock Parrot (Neophema petrophila) (8) Group in low coastal vegetation.

All species viewed from the water, Goolwa Channel.

Group of 20 to 30 mingling with many other species of water fowl and waders
