Broome is the best place I have had. In the wet season you can get Crested, Lesser Crested, Caspian, Gull-billed (both macrotarsa and the migratory affinis), Little, Whiskered, White-winged, Common and Roseate. The port is the best chance to get most of them. You are most likely to miss Whiskered and White-winged which you would get at the sewage ponds, although both are possible in the harbour. So 9 species are certainly possible. In storms, Common Noddy has been recorded and occasionally Bridled and Sooty. Fairy Tern was present in an unusual year back in the middle of 1990.
