As I understand it what the Gluepot Management Committee proposes is
to build a research lab/workroom where visiting researchers from
Australian and overseas institutions can house their gear, work on any
field-collected materials, read and write. At the moment they have to
do this in their rooms, the dining room or in the meeting and general
purpose room attached to the Warden's house. The housing of the
library which is now outgrowing the latter space is important but not
the main purpose of the new building.

As usual the building will be constructed in large part from materials
donated or at low cost, and using volunteer labour and expertise
contributed gratis.

Futher information from Duncan Mackenzie

I'm happy for you to post this on BirdingAus from me if you wish.
