Another trick is adding very subtle tags. Have a look at the first image (ignoring the obvious tag at the bottom):

You can see it if you up the contrast and drop the brightness...

It is important that you identify your digital images by naming yourself as photographer 
and copyright holder in the EXIF data of your images. Sure EXIF data can be stripped, but 
most people who "borrow" images usually overlook it and it remains as a nice 
digital thumb-print on your images.

For those who have not set up their EXIF, and would like to know how, it is in 
the manual.
