The trial appears to be planned for National Parks and to be conducted by NPWS. 
I would think that all hoops will well and truly jumped through.

I think we will see more baiting programs using cyanide. 1080 baiting is now 
regarded as inhumane by several animal welfare groups, including the RSPCA. 
Cyanide kills much more quickly and has an almost zero incidence of secondary 
poisoning, because of very rapid breakdown in the gut.
