I've got a copy of "The Explorers" Edited by Tim Flannery (1998, Text
Publishing, Melbourne) which covers those mentioned by Peter, several other
famous explorers (eg Eyre, Stuart, Sturt) and whole range more that I had
never heard of until I read the book (although my school history was
delivered in the UK - 1066 and all that....)
