bird on the wire

Hi Greg,

I have never seen a Common Tern perched on a powerline but on 29 January 
2011 Gary and Margaret Eggins observed and photographed 600-800 Common Terns 
perched on powerlines straddling the Clarence River at Maclean, North Coast 
NSW.  Not only was this a large flock and the use of powerlines very unusual 
but they were kilometres upriver from where I would have expected to see 
them.
