Published sightings for the week ending 25 Dec 2011.

Sun 25 Dec White-necked Heron Mulligans Flat
One White-necked Heron (in non-breeding plumage) near the small creek leaving the Reserve a few metres to the north of Yellow Box Gate. It flew up from near the small dam when we left the carpark, landed a few metres away in grassland. Observed for 1-2 minutes before it flew off.

Olive Whistler (1) female or immature; very orange/rufous belly and rufous/grey back. Red-browed Treecreeper (1) collecting food on ground and in low vegetation

Sat 24 Dec Pink-eared Duck Fyshwick Sewage Treatment Plant
A solitary Pink-eared Duck was the highlight of a visit to the poo ponds.

Australian Pelican Hall
A group of about 50 riding a thermal near Hall then heading south west this morning.

Fri 23 Dec Hooded Robin Namadgi NP Visitors Centre
A male, female and three young Hooded Robins were literally feeding on the road at the Namadgi NP Visitors' Centre early this morning, just south of the Mt Tennant Trail crossing.

Brush Cuckoo Booroomba Rocks Car Park
At least three Brush Cuckoos were affording excellent views this morning at the Booroomba Rocks Car Park. They were perching and calling in a large dead tree where the trails leave the car park.
