Hi Chris,
We visited LHI in October 2009 and stayed at Blue Lagoon. This was chosen on a 
budget basis (as I think it was the cheapest!) and it was quite suitable for an 
8 day stay. It had limited kitchenette facilities, so we either cooked 
everything on a BBQ outside or went out for dinner. It was a great central 
location, a short walk to either side of the island and down to the general 
store / restaurants. We hired bikes for the day time and caught the shuttle 
buses at night to the restaurants.  As the others have said, the accomodation 
included airport pick up and delivery.
