Hi Tony,
As someone who used to contribute to Ozbirdpix i agree with what Sonja said.
Ozbirdpix just didn't attract enough active members and for me there are so 
many better outlets to share and communicate with like-minded people. Obviously 
i am involved in Feathers and Photos which suits my needs perfectly. Bird-O is 
another great outlet for sharing not just images too, and there are plenty more 
forums that are already established and great.
I personally didn't find the Ozbirdpix system very user friendly for what it 
was trying to achieve. 
There is now simply too much competition.
