Sun 26 Jun	Pacific Gull Ballina Yacht Club, Richmond River, NSW An immature male, in non-breeding plumage. It is the first one that I have seen in Ballina in almost 8 years of bird observations and photography. It remained in the same spot for around 15 minutes before flying off towards the river mouth and the ocean beach. HANZAB notes that they are not usually found in this region. 	Green Pygmy-Goose Smiths Lake, Moonee Beach 2450 2 x Green Pygmy-Goose still at Smiths Lake at western end of lake near the pump house. Bob Moffatt
	Rufous scrub- bird(2) The Pinnacle, Border Ranges National Park A pair of Rufous Scrub Birds near the track foraging coming back from the Pinnacle. Richard Hagley and Ross Krippner
Sat 25 Jun	Common Bronzewing, Yellow-tufted Honeyeater, Jacky Winter South Mullion Crk Res. Common Bronzewing (1) Yellow-tufted Honeyeater (8) Jacky Winter (1) Neville Schrader
	White-headed Pigeon, Little Lorikeet Kurrajong Hills A single White-headed Pigeon at our feeder with Wonga Pigeon, Common Bronzewing, Peaceful and Bar-shouldered Doves. Also 4-5 Little Lorikeet and a Grey Goshawk. Neighbours had 2 Koala sightings earlier in the week. Eric Finley

Fri 24 Jun	Black-shouldered Kite, White-throated Treecreeper, Double-barred Finch North-east of Lucknow, near Orange Black-shouldered Kite (1) White-throated Treecreeper (1) Double-barred Finch (40) Neville Schrader
	Hardhead Spring Creek Reservoir, Orange. Three Hardheads have returned to this site after being absent for some time. Neville Schrader
	Little Eagle Narellan (south-west Sydney) At noon today, 2 Little Eagles flew over Magdalene Catholic High School, Narellan, where I teach. I was stoked. This is my first sighting of this species here. Lorne Johnson
Thu 23 Jun	Regent Honeyeater Sub-Station Site, Morisset After 50 minutes of searching, 3 Regent Honeyeaters were seen feeding in flowering Swamp Mahogany, about 300 m upsteam of the Pump Station on the western side of the Creek.about 11.30 am. We lost sight of the birds after they were moved on by Noisy Friarbirds. Plenty of Yellow-faced, White-cheeked & White-naped Honeyeaters, one group of Brown-headed Honeyeaters but no Little Lorikeets. Allan Benson & Alan Morris
Tue 21 Jun	Swift Parrots Murray St Bateau Bay and Watonobbi Central Coast Just a note to update on the Swift Parrots on the Central Coast. As at yesterday 6 were seen in Blackbutts at Murray St Bateau Bay and 29 in Spotted Gum & Ironbarks in Britannia Drive, Watanobbi, Wyong. Swift Parrots were also reported from Chain Valley Bay South on the weekend. Alan Morris & Diana Hogan

Mon 20 Jun	Wedge-tailed Eagle Mount Bass Firetail, Royal NP One adult Wedge-tailed Eagle was soaring on Mount Bass Fire Trail. Other highlights: 3 different groups of Southern Emu Wrens, 3+ Beautiful Firetails, 4 Tawny-crowned Honeyeaters, and a Chestnut-rumped Heathwren. Fatih Sam
	Brush Turkey Upper Avenue Road, Mosman 3 birds seen feeding in a garden at the top of Upper Avenue Road, Mosman at 4.40pm. Charles Hunter
Sun 19 Jun	Turquoise Parrot The Woolshed, The Warrumbungle National Park Although I have been with Alan Morris to this site half a dozen times I have not seen any Turquoise Parrots there the last few times I have been so it was nice to see some. There was a group of 6, then as i was watching a 7th flew into join the others. They were happy to let me come quite close for some photos. I then wandered about for 20mins seeing an Emu & a White-bellied Cuckoo-shrike. I was just about to leave & I saw another 4 Turquoise Parrots near the car. (could have been 4 from the other 7 or a new group?) Steven Edwards
	Speckled Warbler (2) & Buff-rumped Thornbill (50+) Cobbitty, NSW I was delighted to see two Speckled Warblers and 50+ Buff-rumped Thornbill’s on the Kirkham Rise Estate near the corner of Cobbitty Road and Macquarie Grove Road at Cobbitty. The site currently contains high quality Cumberland Plain Woodland habitat. Other birds seen included Crested Shrike-tit (3), Varied Sittella (6), Rose Robin (1), Double-barred Finch (2), Weebill (3) and Striated Pardalote (1). Michael Paul
Sat 18 Jun	Barn Owl Maroubra An adult barn owl was being attacked by other birds during daylight hours in Hereward St, Maroubra. It was rescued and is currently in my (WIRES) care - uninjured but a bit underweight and extremely hungry! I'll release it back in Maroubra in a couple of days. Haven't seen one of these beautiful birds in Sydney's East for a couple of years. Joan Dawes
	Buller's Albatross off Lake Conjola entrance A Buller's Albatross close in to shore just north of entrance to Lake Conjola was the highlight of a weekend trip down the south coast. Seen with approx 6 Black-browed Albatross, 2 Shy and a Yellow-nosed plus Gannets, a Brown Skua, a White-fronted Tern, seals and further out many passing Humpbacked Whales. Around the lake entrance 6 Red-capped Dotterels, 4 Double-banded Plovers, 4 Pied Oystercatchers, 3 Caspian Terns and 3 Bar-tailed Godwits who'd obviously decided a south coast winter was better than the long haul to Siberia. In the forest nearby highlights included a Bassian Thrush, a pair of Crested Shrike-tits and Grey Goshawk. Robert Griffin
	Red-capped Plover Long Reef Marine Reserve A single bird seen foraging with 7 Double-banded Plovers and 2 Red-necked Stints Mark Young
	Banded Lapwing Warrembone Property, Galagambone 4 Banded Lapwings flew over on the 18th and 2 on the 16th. I also had over 65 Superb Parrots fly over the same site on the 7th June over the length of the day. Steven Edwards
	Brush Turkeys (50 birds!!) The Ridgeway Rd, Tumbi Umbi Before dark, as we drove through Tumbi Umbi, Mark was mentioning that we had not seen any Brush Turkeys but that was soon fixed several minutes and further up the road when we were surprised to bump into a an old Welsh guy feeding at least 30 Brush Turkeys and a number of Wood Ducks beside the road. He said that there were actually 50 Brush Turkeys just before we arrived. We have never seen so many Brush Turkeys before in a single area! We saw a few Brush Turkeys quite vocal, some males fighting amongst each other and saw a number fly into 2 large eucalypts at the back of his property as it was almost getting dark. Sat 27 Nov	Comb-crested Jacana Whittakers Lagoon,Moree Jacana wading across floating vegetation at the lagoon. Flew to the other end of the lagoon when we went too close. Curtis Hayne, Ainslee
